Works, but produces a fine powder in every grind setting.
I wanted to get a burr grinder to make cold brew coffee. I needed coarse grounds. This grinder produces the coarse grounds well, but it also seems to pulverize some coffee into a fine powder no matter what the coarseness is set to. This isn't great because now my cold brew ends up with a lot of sediment in it, and I've actually been filtering the final product through a paper filter as well just to get all the extra fine grounds out of the brew. I think the possible reason for the pulverization is the high speed the grinder spins at. I might take it apart to see if there is something I can do to slow it down. I had to edit down to 2 stars. Just started another brew and paid close attention to the grinds. It blew me away by how much fine powder was in the bin. Going to order a hand powered grinder to have something to compare this to. As-is I don't find this acceptable. Edit 8/12/17: Added a photo of the grind on the most coarse setting. You can see the nice grinding on the right, and the fine powder that is always present. Grinder would probably be fine for drip coffee, or another paper filter method.
