My 6 month old puppy was electrocuted by chewing into an electrical cord. Through 30 minutes of CPR by us he survived, although my husband and I were traumatized. We immediately ordered two cord cover products. One had a scent to deter pets, but it was so pungent we could not have it in the house. THIS item went on easily but today my pup chewed right through it and into another cord. Fortunately he was not shocked this time, but easily could have been. This might be ok for non-electrical cords with no safety hazard, but please, if you love and value your pet's life, do not use these for electrical cords.
