Don't judge a chair by it's cover...or something
Disclaimer - I've been researching office chairs for several weeks now, and have reviewed data from several sources. My goals were to find a chair with: 1. A head/neck rest (neck pain is a big issue for me) 2. Lumbar support 3. Something "better" than my 5-year old $90 Office Depot mesh-back chair (which has been surprisingly comfortable over the years, except for my neck/shoulder pain and the seat has gotten worn down a bit over the years). For context, I'm only 5' 7" about 160lbs (athletic build). The two most glaring issues are: 1. There's far too much "play" or wiggle-room when the back is in a locked position. I would expect it to remain, for the most part, locked - however, there's a good inch or so of play where the back of the chair moves. 2. Due to the first issue, the head rest does not keep forward enough to make any sort of different. If you want to rest your neck/head onto the head rest you'll end up tilting back too far and not looking at the screen. The chair looks good enough once assembled, but it feels cheaply made. Lumbar support is ok-ish - honestly, my $90 Office Depot chair feels better than this. Very disappointing - I want to send this back, but then I have to go through the trouble of disassembly and re-packaging. I would recommend you look elsewhere.
