The drive quickly booted up and searched for photos and video (make sure you go to options and choose file types otherwise you may miss some things). The device ID’d over 20K photos and took about 12 hours to copy (which I wasn’t upset about) I’m sure this varies depending on many factors including processor speed and individual file size. The problem is that after the copy period and receiving notice that all files had been copied they were not accessible on the drive. All indications were that all photos and videos had been copied, and the graphic indicated the disc was 60% full. However, no actual files could be found. The “My Files” folder displays empty, and even clicking the “see my photos” button resulted in no photos or videos. I checked it on multiple computers and encountered the same result. I can’t know for certain but based on multiple positive reviews I have to give benefit of the doubt. I’m returning the device and not sure whether I’ll re-order.
