Hidden costs from an engineering flaw
We use this projector in a small movie theater room with Chromecast or Fire Stick HDMI inputs. The picture quality is amazingly bright and crisp. The major downside is the audio output. We tried to use the 3.5 mm output jack with external speakers. The audio output is lower than a common cell phone speaker with both the projector volume and external speakers set to max. This must be a problem with the projector software or hardware as our external speakers are more than sufficient when attached to any other device.
Honestly, I can't believe that BenQ released something with such a serious flaw, and wish we had known this before purchasing our projector. Tech support suggested that we purchase additional hardware to compensate for their engineering oversight. I guess this projector should not be considered as a stand-alone piece of equipment if you actually want to hear your movies/games.
