After 5 months using this play mat in our living room, we discovered mold growing on our wood floors underneath the mat. (If you look closely at our picture, you can almost spot the chevron pattern of the mold on our floor.) It was scary to realize that our baby spent so many hours playing on this mat. Mold issues aside, the mat is not even as comfortable as another play mat that we now use instead. We originally liked the flexible design with this product but obviously, it wasn't worth it in the end for comfort or safety. We're sticking to the large, one-piece play mats moving forward.
