Ordered this for our small apartment which has all hardwood and tile flooring, with some area rugs. Upon assembling the item, I found that the handle would not click in properly, seems some holes for the different pieces were either made too big/too small. This is the major reason why I only left 4 stars. Though I have to say, for such an inexpensive vacuum, it sure does do the job good. Much better than more expensive stick vacs I have used in the past. I was impressed by how much was picked up not only from the floors, but from the area rugs, also. Our dog sheds very badly and we also have a cat. Yet, it picked up all the fur that had accumulated on the rugs. I was also able to use the handheld vac to nicely clean our upholstery. It is very lightweight, which is another plus, I can even hold it up with one finger. Though I did notice that the unit seems to get pretty hot to the touch very quickly, after just 10 minutes of use. Hopefully this will not turn into an issue in the future. It is very compact, easy to store and also easy to switch between the different attachments. Overall very happy with our purchase, will update if anything changes. Update: As mentioned in my initial review, the unit overheats after 10 minutes of use. I was concerned that this would be an issue and, unfortunately, it was. I was using it for longer than the usual quick 10 min and it overheated and completely gave out on me. Now it will not turn on at all. Very upset by this, only used it a few times and now I'm left without a vacuum. I suppose this vacuum is good for quick cleanups, as it cannot handle any more than that.
