I was one of many who couldn't wait for the arrival of this product. Now that I've had it for a few months now I'm very disappointed in its performance. Installation was the of the device was the small as it is for others so I won’t speak on it, just know you need to have a neutral wire for this device. As for the design I really think the sliding your finger on the panel is not a good implementation. You have to be really precise when trying to choose a brightness and this is made harder because the dots are in a concave groove that your finger will miss or slide out of a lot of the time, if this was convex instead of a groove I think it would have been much easier. Now the problems I have with this device is the dimming isn’t gradual, you can see literally every brightness level change rather than a nice smooth dim. If you drag the slider you will see the light just jump to the set brightness you choose, this is both on the application and on the device itself. The main issue I have with this device in the connectivity issues. It’s like every week I have to go and turn my breaker on and off because the device is flashing red. If you reboot your wireless modem when it turns back on the device doesn’t connect, if the power goes off it doesn’t connect. It’s a pain when you have to get up to turn off the lights when you bought it for the sole reason of being lazy! If you live somewhere that has casual power fluctuations this thing will be a pain in your side. I’m hoping an update fixes these issues but so far I haven’t had an update for the device since I had it. Pros 1. When it works it does dim the light 2. Can be used when you’re not at home Cons 1. Dimming notches are hard to use because they are in a concave groove on the device. 2. Dimming is not gradual using led light, can see every different brightness level when dimming. 3. Constantly loses connectivity and doesn’t re-connect unless your cut the power to the device. Will update it any future updates resolve these issues. (except the one hardware thats not fixable) Update: Now everyday when I get home from work and when I wake up the red flashing light is flashing and I have to turn the breaker off and on now. I know there aren't any power failures or anything in my place because my ps4 is in standby mode all the time and if there was any power issues it would be off. This thing is crap, still no updates since I purchased it.
