I'm a teacher, and so I know first hand the important quality difference between good pencils (like Ticonderoga) and cheap knock-offs. Although this page clearly says that if you order 144 Dixon Ticonderoga #2 pencils you will get 6 24-count boxes, and the graphic shows actual Ticonderoga pencils, THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY SENT. What I received was a box of 144 #2 Dixon pencils - not TICONDEROGA. What is the difference, you ask? Well, in visual inspection of the first few pencils I see, the graphite is clearly not centered. That means it will not sharpen properly and will be more likely to break. Dixon is a brand that makes several qualities of pencil, of which Ticonderoga is the highest. Ticonderoga pencils have the green metal that holds the high quality eraser. This box has pencils with the silver metal holding what appears to be a low quality eraser. When the pencils arrived, the box was broken open, as well. I am returning these immediately.
