My cats respond very well to catnip and the love it. When I opened this container, they eagerly gathered around the place I put catnip and waited. I poured the contents and they smelled it and smelled it and looked at me and waited for me to produce catnip. I rubbed the leaves to try to activate the oils and produce some aroma. The cats just waited blankly. Nothing would work to convince them to play with or eat this stuff. I've used this brand before and had normal results-- the cats eat and play with it, scratching the bits and rolling around in it. This time, nothing. The dried bits in the container smelled like... I don't know, some kind of dried plant matter of some type, but not particularly cat-nippy. I ended up throwing away the bottle after three separate attempts over three days to get the cats to interact with it. I won't buy this brand anymore.
