I had high hopes for this lock. Installation and set up was very quick and easy. I loved the idea of the door automatically unlocking when I get home as I normally have a lot in my hands. This is not the case. Half the time it says it has unlocked and it is not. Same happens when I am using the app on the phone. I can here the lock operating and making the sound saying it has functioned but nothing actually happens. I thought maybe it was because the deadbolt was to tight so I filed the receiver so the deadbolt would slide with zero resistance. This did not help. I have the proper adaptor installed. The lock also does not always open when I try to open it manually. I have had to go out my back door and unlock the door with the key from the outside. This lock is dangerous. If there was an emergency in my home and me and my family had to exit there is a 50/50 chance we could not get out from the front door. This lock is dangerous. I am a pretty handy guy and a big gadget guy. I am extremely disappointed with this lock. It was not cheap and I would expect more. I would not recommend any one buying this lock for your own safety.
