The night I received my brand new mattress I threw this mattress protector on right away. I FINALLY had a brand new mattress! Two hours later my girlfriend spilled her ice tea... No worries I thought! The selling point of this mattress protector for me was, “accidental spills.” Well. Not so much. The liquid went right through and onto my mattress. The protector acted as more of an additional sheet than a shield. Maybe it does it’s job for dust mites and such, but not for spills.
