Fully Debunked By Science
As a CPAP user, I understand the appeal of having any product that makes our lives less arduous. Unfortunately, this is not one that works, at least not in the intended fashion. There are conclusive studies done by governmental bodies about the efficacy of ozone cleaning and they all show that it is simply not effective at this level. But that's actually good news, because were it concentrated enough to be effective, it would actually be toxic. Here's the EPA if you don't believe me:[...] and if the EPA doesn't cut it, and you just google a bit, you'll see there is a significant and unanimous scientific consensus that the SoClean does not work.
I checked with a number of doctors in the field after I bought my SoClean and they all confirmed that it is completely ineffective.
Because it produces a chemical smell, it might make people feel like their device is cleaner, but it isn't. It isn't because that's scientifically impossible. And people may feel like they've had good results with it, but that's just the placebo effect. Again, this device is wholly ineffective at eliminating allergens or germs.
People don't like the bearer of bad news, especially on the internet, but the facts are just the facts as much as we might all wish it weren't so. This device will not clean your CPAP equipment in an effective way, and it may harm you.
Finally, don't pay any attention to the FDA registered mumbo jumbo. Registered does not mean its "approved" or even reviewed by the FDA. It just means someone filled out a registration on the FDA website. You could do this too if you wanted to. Again, the science is conclusive here and it is that this product does not work.
Save your money. Buy soap. Wash your mask. It's a pain but it's actually proven to work.
