Please read this post before buying this product. I just opened my dishwasher to find a blackened, charred Powerball lying on top of the heating coil (see picture). Thankfully, it doesn't look like it actually caught fire, but it appears to have come close. As you might expect, there's a nasty chemical smell in the kitchen. My dishwasher is a one month old Frigidaire. Like most current model American dishwashers, it has a heating coil in the bottom of the tub that assists with the drying process. It looks like the Powerball fell directly onto the coil, failed to dissolve during the wash cycle and then started burning when the heating coil got going. I would strongly recommend avoiding this product if your dishwasher has a heating coil. Liquids and gels aren't going to cause this problem.
