We have the ultimate car garage and purchased the super ultimate for the motorized elevator and tall exit ramp. Like other Hot Wheels toys with a motor, the elevator motor is very loud. We expected this, but didn't expect that even when the parking level latches are completely closed, the cars would get stuck every few seconds. The motor makes fast clicking sounds until the car can continue up the elevator to the level of choice. A minor problem is one parking space each on levels 1,2, and 3 don't have a raised bumper so the cars can stay in the parking space. If you have a child who is very particular about having a uniform look to his parking garage, this might be an issue. Cars race smoothly down the spiral ramp which is @ 29 inches tall. The tall spiral ramp is the best feature of this parking garage. The yellow wheel on level 4 requires some effort as it doesn't turn smoothly. The parking garage levels on 1, 2, and 3 near the spiral ramp slope down because the supports are @ 3 inches from the end of each level. If the motorized elevator worked well, the $199 price would be justified, even with the minor flaws. If the elevator was a manual one, I'd still pay $199 for the garage. But as is, I wouldn't pay more than $125 for this toy because of the elevator issue. We have had the garage for two days and my son refuses to play with the motorized elevator. If you're making a purchase decision between the super ultimate and the ultimate parking garages, choose the ultimate. The value is great and it doesn't have the design issues the super one has. If you already have the ultimate and are thinking of purchasing the super ultimate, you might want to wait until the price decreases. Ours is going back.
