The PC is a beast. It will run anything fast as lightning great out of the box. Be warned though, that the HP Omen Obelisk uses an OEM GEFORCE RTX 2080. So, to the uninitiated, it sounds like a great deal. However, the company skipped out on the necessary cooling for such a graphics card in order to make a profit. In non-HP systems, the GEFORCE RTX 2080 is typically water cooled. The particular HP GEFORCE RTX 2080 OEM model is insufficiently cooled which frequently leads to thermal gating, which reduces functionality in order to save the card from overheating. It happens frequently after a few hours in a game high end game, despite adequate ventilation and even having the panel removed. Further, when I called the HP Omen support desk I asked if I could get parts information in order to use a water cooling unit for the GPU he stated that there are none. He recommended that I remove the panel and have another fan blow air on it, or download third party software to limit the voltage to the GPU! Do some research before on Google before picking up this "Sweet Deal" like I did. What a mistake. Currently looking for a replacement.
