I would pay twice as much... It's that good, pls read the review
Okay, there are 2257 reviews on this product at the time that I'm writing this... Go through them, this isn't created by some Chinese bot, these are actually people who purchase this fan and overwhelmingly people like it.
Here's my review: I need a quiet fan for my living room, for whatever reason the people that built the house did not think to put a ceiling fan in the room that we use as a TV room and it tends to get hot in the summer. Circulating little air makes a big difference so I went online and did my homework. This fan was by far the highest rated available anywhere. There's one complaint... People claim that the metal grill around the fan blade tends to rust over time. I read the reviews and notice that most of people live in coastal areas, one even in Hawaii and was confused why metal would rust Even though he didn't live near saltwater? I'm thinking that this guy is confused on how that works. Here's the reality, all fan blades pass air fast over metal or plastic and no matter what their electro plated with, in time they will either corrode or rust unless you do one thing... Keep humidity out of the air. If you're running fans instead of an air conditioner I hate to say that this is going to happen to you too. If tomorrow Dyson comes out with a $10,000 fan it's still going to rust, without giving a lesson on chemistry just take my word for it. It's nothing to do with the fan or it's construction, it's the fact that humidity will rust the grill in time.
The reason that air conditioning is called "conditioning" is because it is removing humidity out of the air. That's why you have condensation and the need for a drain by your air handler. If you don't do this you still have high humidity and are just whizzing hot humid air through a fan, over metal, it's going to rust.
So now it's talk about the fan... This thing is insane, and by that I mean it's literally unbelievable. I paid $122 using Amazon as the fulfillment center (might be able to find it for less with a private seller) and it is so quiet and powerful that the same day I set up the fan I bought another one for my bedroom. It really is that impressive. I'm not going to drone on, if what I've already said hasn't convinced you to take a shot with this fan then read one of the other 2257 reviews and form your own opinion. The best part, this is a prime item... just take it out of the box carefully and if you don't absolutely love it, return it for free. You literally have nothing to lose except the discomfort of heat.
