I had a little 'bake-off' between this guy and our current Black and Decker DustBuster (which we purchased last year) and the Shark was better in every aspect. It charges quickly and keeps the charge longer, it's suction is far superior - I'd say at least twice the power - it will lift dirt, dust, and rocks a quarter of an inch away, so for crevices, it was really handy. We used it to pick up dog hair that was stuck in the crevices of a carpeted basement staircase and it had no trouble getting it all up with the crevice tool. Our DustBuster could barely make a dent in the hair because it sticks to the carpet fibers and the suction isn't good enough. With the pet hair roller attachment, it easily got rid of the dog hair on the couch that we use to have to get the big Dyson vacuum out with the hose to pick up. This makes that job a ton easier. I love this thing!!
