Wood pecking birds can cause a lot of damage to a house. We once had a red shafted flicker drill through the siding, the underlayment, and finally the insulation. We stopped this bird before he drilled through the wall board and into the bedroom. This tape works well to scare away birds. Our new under construction home was being hammered by at least two different species of wood pecking birds. They were making mincemeat of the newly installed wooden batts. The boards are cement boards and, believe it or not, they were hammering that too and pecking all the fresh paint away. We put up the reflective tape and the assault stopped immediately. Unfortunately, within a week the reflective tape had torn away from the house in the afternoon breeze and the birds were back. I give this product four stars because of the durability issue. Otherwise it would get five stars for scaring away the birds.
