I bought both the “KneeRover Economy Knee Scooter” and the “KneeRover GO Knee Scooter”. One for each floor of my house. Both accomplish the main job of allowing me to scoot around the house. There are dozens of problems we first encounter when we rip the Achilles tendon, such as how to brush your teeth when you are trying to learn to stand on one leg. These knee scooters are great for getting from the couch to the kitchen table without crutches, and allowing me to stand and brush my teeth or reach something in the overhead counters. I can recommend either one for a person recovering from achilles repair. I will describe the difference between these two products. The ‘Go’ version is listed as portable, can fold up tightly and looks much better than the ‘Economy’ version. It weights a pound less than the ‘Economy’. It only has one hand break which breaks both rear wheels. While I bought this for the portable aspect, I find it takes too much time to figure out how to fold it up tightly. I can fold the handle bar down and toss in the back seat. The ‘Economy’ version is slightly longer than the ‘Go’ version and seems a touch more stable. NOTE that if you go wheeling around your house at high speeds making turns you will fall off either one. (I speak from experience.) The ‘Economy’ can also fold down the handle bar and toss into the back seat, taking up just a little more space than the ‘Go’ version. The seat on the ‘Economy’ version feels better than the ‘Go’ version but I just added extra padding to the Go seat. If I used the ‘Economy’ as much as the Go, I would add extra padding there. When I start back at work, I will take the ‘Go’ version simply because it is cooler looking. Silly, but true! Overall, I can recommend both devices. If you need to pack up your knee scooter tightly, or you want the flashy color, go with the ‘Go’. Otherwise the ‘Economy’ is great.
