Ok first a bit of creds, I just turned 60, yet I still regularly ride my CBR1000RR. Being a little more conservative in my riding now and the fact that my full leathers just do not fit like they once did and properly should; I bought a new riding jacket and wanted something more casual to complement them and provide some protection.............hence the Bilt Jeans. Save your money......just buy a good pair of Carhartt or others heavy weight denim jeans with double knees and put the savings in your pocket. These jeans are not even heavy denim. I would say it is stretching things to say "medium weight" The Kevlar liner is pretty ridiculous not really covering areas where a down Rider would need skid protection. The knee pads are 1/4 thickness and if you were in a Bicycle accident they would probably provide the wearer with adequate protection. It is obvious to me that whoever designed these jeans has never even spoken to someone who had to get off a motorcycle at speed. But....you got me.....I paid the exorbitant shipping rates charged and even coughed up the $70 bucks for the jeans...but believe me...............it only happens once.
