★★☆☆☆
Not enough spring for an iMac 27".
[EDIT] See partial solution at bottom.
I want to give this five stars, however....
It's HEAVY. My intention on purchasing this was to help alleviate the back problems which occur from sitting too much. Standing with this helps nicely. But it exacerbates back problems each time I try to lift it. It's simply not got enough spring to lift an 27" imac and keyboard. You HAVE to bend over and lift VERY hard to lift it. Exactly wrong. The best method is a cycle of 90/10% up and down over the course of hours, and this resistance makes it a liability. Fortunately I'm also a mechanic, and I'm going to supplement the weak spring with my own contraption. It needs to have two of those pneumatic springs, not one. (My wife at 5' 2'' CANNOT lift this at all. She couldn't believe how heavy it was.)
I like the large table surface and it allows me to rest my forearms in the upright position. Off to modify this. I will re-edit results when I do.
EDIT: I have attached photos of the unit with my iMac, and with a PAIR of springs I added to supplement the load. It's MUCH better. Took an hour to fit these because I had to drill a pair of holes in the left hand side and used existing holes with an 'S' hook for the other. It's a well made unit, but they under-engineered the weight of the table. (2) HD 8" springs from Lowes. Sorry for a critical review, but this is real.
