If you can't use language or plot....
One does not have "conscious of mind" but "presence of mind."
One is not presented with a "reputable feast" but a "veritable feast."
"Moniker" was not used (over and over and over) in the regency but first appears forty years later.
A collie is not a hound.
No gentleman rides a horse to a ball--wrong dress, wrong smell.
And so on.
Mostly lady porn, but way, way, way too much of it.
On the other hand, perhaps lady porn can distract from a slight, cliched, and ultimately silly plot.
And I really don't care what secret sorrow or angst afflicts the hero's best friend. Not do I plan to read the next book to find out.
Sigh.
