My library told me it "works with Kindle Fire tablets," so I imagine Hoopla is telling libraries it works with Kindle Fire tablets. Their website says it is "available on the Kindle Fire." Only AFTER you commit to downloading it to they say it is "not compatible with your device," which is a Kindle Fire HD 8.9," a model first released in November, 2012 and thus only two years old.
