This is incredibly important to know as silicone does not moisturize your hair, instead, it gives it the appearance and feeling of shiny/ smooth and untangled hair. In addition, silicones can also build up on your hair if they are not properly removed and once they are, they are extremely toxic to the environment as they accumulate and are not biodegradable.
