It worked great when I first got it but broke on the fifth pineapple. There is a metal blade on the side that is responsible for cutting the outside edge of the pineapple rings. I started turning the cutter and the blade bent back. It looks like there was a small weld holding it in place and it broke loose. I am very disappointed especially since this is the more expensive one this company offers. In the end, five pineapples in seven weeks and broken. ****UPDATE 6-19-2012***** I emailed the company from their website and explained what happened. They are sending me a replacement. At least the company stands behind their products.
