I got these flasks because I thought they were food grade stainless. But it didn't say so rinsed one out with water and some good shakes. Then I rinsed it out with some whiskey. Next I filled the flask half full with high proof whiskey and let it sit in thw flask for 2 days. When I poured it into a cup I was shocked to find that the liquor had turned dark and cloudy. I didn't have it chemically tested but I'm sure that what ever that was can't be good. My guess is lead but that's just speculation. I now have 6 flask shaped paperweights. I'm not happy about it but I hope this saves someone from a bad purchase. Unless you plan on filling these with sand and gluing the cap shut, don't buy these to drink from.
