Not for modern RV trailers
Just got this item and tried it out on my 30' Keystone Bullet travel trailer while parked on my level cement driveway. Unfortunately, as good and solid as this item looks, it just does not do the job in my case. I was really hoping it would work since I feel I should be able to change a tire on my own without outside assistance which is not always readily available. The problem is that I have a newer trailer with the wide wheel spread common to many of the more recent brands. Axles are nearly 24" apart. So, when the rear tire backs up the short ramp, the front tire is still solidly on the ground. This is a benefit of having wide axle spread. Makes the trailer more stable and gives better ground contact on uneven surfaces. However, for the purposes that this item was meant to perform, that set-up renders it useless. So, if you have a trailer with these types of axles, then save yourself the trouble and find a different solution. This item will not work for you. I think this info should be better explained in the product description. To say that this will work with most trailers is largely over stating.
