I was really looking forward to this book. I pre-ordered stayed up untill midnight to start it and the first chapter I was already pissed off. Rafe and Violet finally got to let lose on some of the sexual tension and it was all but ruined by Jordan randomly barging in and giving violet a kiss? I wouldn’t be mad at the MFM this book has taken if more of it was shown in the first book. The only flirty scene they had in the first book was Violet FAKE flirty with him to get Rafe’s attention. Now there’s this random love triangle that makes no sense? I can’t see Rafe sharing violet he was a mega alpha male in the first book and on top of that is the future leader of the most powerful kingdom. I was so invested in Vi and Rafes relationship I wanted to see it develop and blossom into something more. It just didn’t. she didn’t want to cheat on cliche Alex in the first book now she’s banging 2 best friends and has zero qualms about it? I had to put the book down several times and eye roll between the scenes with Jordan and Vi. I can’t believe so many other readers are giving this 5 stars and don’t mind the triangle that makes no sense. I love a lot of books by these authors too, I wish I knew why they took this route? Not every one loves RH or ménage I wanted one good series that wasn’t like that, they get old!! And a disclaimer on the first book would have been nice. That being said, I love Mattie and Vi the later was a little moody in this book but she had a lot going on. I would have much rather had some Sexy scenes with them then Jordan (just saying) even though I’m really upset about the love triangle I will read the last book but I will not be preordering it. There’s a lot more I could say but I’m going to leave it at that!
