Good cover, bad book
Do not waste your time on this book. It is standard average outcast girl finds out she's something special drivel. And it's not even well written. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy simple novels. I like just getting caught up in a story and enjoying it but there was nothing here to enjoy. Frey, the main character in this tale is whiny at best. She spends the entire book complaining. Well complaining or just fainting. Really, I have no idea how she gets anything done, she's unconscious for most of the book. The do hint at and later explain that she's been "bound" from magic and her memories and that's why she is pretty much useless however, that doesn't really cover all of the whining and stupidity that we have to put up with to get to the end of the book. After reading this I decided to save myself the torture and skip the second book. I found that I didn't care at all about a single person the book presented or what happened to them. Not a good read. Avoid.
